SMORF - an implementation of Hellberg's morphology system

A brief account of Hellberg's morphology system (flellberg, 78J is presented its aims and structure, and how it deals with inflection, derivation and compounding. Then there follows a discussion of our experience when implementing and running the program and evaluating the success of the system. Discussion points are accompanied by run-time examples. Some improvements on the original system have been made and are illustrated in the text. A summary of our evaluation is given.
